To flash---the only thing I think that would help is to get a lawyer--maybe through the courts your payments can be adjusted to reflect your economic situation. My cousin was paying his child support while trying to start a business. His ex thought he should pay more since he had "his own business" . He was living in the back of his shop and didn't draw a salary for himself. He went to court with all his books etc and ended up that the judge reduced his support payments --admittedly that was 20 years ago--but worth a try.
